---Meet Our Savior

The Bible tells us that ALL have sinned and fall short of God’s glory.
All people have what God calls a “sin” problem. They do, think, and say things that are morally wrong. They may not be as bad as they could be, but they are not morally perfect.

The Bible says that the wages of our sin is death.
Our sin bears the consequence of death. Physical death at the end of our lives, and also the punishment of eternal death after our life. Our Holy God cannot ignore evil.

The Bible says that even though we deserve death, the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 5:8 declares, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Jesus Christ died for us! Jesus’ death paid for the price of our sins. Jesus’ resurrection proves that God accepted Jesus’ death as the payment for our sins.

The Bible teaches that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Because of Jesus’ death on our behalf, all we have to do is believe in Him, trusting His death as the payment for our sins – and we will be saved! Romans 10:13 repeats this truth, “for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Jesus died to pay the penalty for our sins and rescue us from eternal death. True salvation is the forgiveness of our sins and is available to anyone who will trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Finally, the Bible also describes a “real” Christian as one who has peace with God.

Through Jesus Christ we can have a relationship of peace with God. Romans 8:1 says, “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” While we still face the consequences in this life of sin, we will never be condemned by God for our sins. This is only possible because of Jesus’ death on our behalf.

Would you like to know for sure that you will go to heaven when you die?

If so, here is a simple prayer you can pray to God. Saying this prayer is not a formula in itself nor a magic phrase. Your words or actions cannot save you. Only faith in Jesus Christ can grant salvation!

Instead, praying something like this is a way to declare to God that you are, in fact, relying on Jesus Christ for your salvation. “God, I know that I have sinned against you and I confess that I deserve punishment. But I believe Jesus Christ took the punishment that I deserve so that through faith in Him I could be forgiven. With Your help, I place my trust in Jesus for salvation. Make me a Christian today! Thank You for Your forgiveness and peace and for the gift of eternal life! Amen!”
